Before my daughter Anjali was born, I once followed a very strict diet for six months and lost nearly six kilograms. At that stage, my responsibilities were fewer, and managing food and routine felt easier. That phase taught me discipline, but it didn’t prepare me for the realities of fitness for working mothers.
After motherhood, when I tried to follow the same strict diet, my body reacted very differently. I felt exhausted, mentally drained, and low on energy. Managing work, home, and parenting while dieting became overwhelming. That was when I realized that fitness after 30 for working women cannot follow the same rules as before.

This phase made me understand that eating regularly does not always mean eating right. As women enter their 30s, issues like nutrient deficiencies, low calcium levels, and lack of protein begin to affect energy levels, especially for women balancing multiple roles every day.

Instead of pushing myself into restrictive diets, I focused on balance. I naturally moved towards lighter, vegetable-rich meals with better protein intake. My breakfasts became simpler and nourishing, lunches focused more on vegetables, and dinners lighter and easier to digest. This approach felt realistic and sustainable — an important factor in sustainable weight loss for women after 30.
Real Energy, Mental Clarity, and Visible Results
Within just 10 to 15 days, I lost around three kilograms, particularly the stubborn fat around my stomach. More importantly, I felt active, lighter, and mentally calmer. This phase made me believe that healthy eating for busy working women is more about quality than quantity.
